2007 was the inaugural event of the Inspiring Women 'The Experience'.  Attendees enjoyed the thoughtful insights of Dini Petty and the inspiration, innovation and information shared by our other presenters.  Our hosts for the day also provided a memorable atmosphere for all of us to enjoy and share. 

We were very proud to present the first Marie Seiler-Linden Award to Marie.  The committee and event attendees were extremely humbled by getting to know her and life's challenges, obstacles and achievements that she has experienced.  She was a very worthy recipient of the award and we look forward to learning of the many other inspiring women in our communities with the nominations of the 2008 candidates.

In addition, we were pleased by the support of the event shown by the many women who attended this sell out crowd and the interest shown by community leaders, media and local businesses. The $24,000 net proceeds from the event will be used to develop new marketing strategies and programming that supports the development and growth of entrepreneurship and small business in the Waterloo Region as well as increasing the image awareness of the Waterloo Region Small Business Centre.
